- Measure the width and height of window frame when installing on the wall. The width of roman shade should be the window frame width plus 3-6 inches, and the height should be the window frame height plus 8-10 inches. When installing on the frame, the width of the roman shade should be the same or slightly smaller than the window width, and the height should be equal to the window frame height.
- INSIDE MOUNTED: Measure the inside width and height of the window. To make sure the roman shade fits the window frame, its width equals the inside width of the window minus 3/8 inch. The height of the roman shade should be the same as the window inside height. Make sure your window depth is at least 2 inches.
